Results and Dissemination<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Concretize the proposal of a new working model to replicate natural ventilation strategies in the rest of the educational centers in the city that is viable, and provide the foundations for passive strategies around natural ventilation as a solution to be incorporated into the future Thermal Comfort Plan, which the Barcelona City Council itself plans to develop within the framework of the nursery schools plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/emv.upc.edu\/index.php\/en\/4-results-and-dissemination\/\">Read more &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thermal discomfort and air quality issues in public educational centers in Barcelona are increasingly concerning to the educational community. In response to this situation, the Barcelona City Council is promoting the E+V project (More Ventilated Schools) within the framework of the Barcelona Climate Plan deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is driven by an interdisciplinary team led by Professor Fabian L\u00f3pez as the principal investigator of UPC-ETSAV, and is composed of doctoral architects, teachers, and researchers from UPC, representatives of the Barcelona Education Consortium, and teams of health specialists such as ISGlobal; the cooperative Societat Org\u00e0nica, specialists in evaluating the energy performance of buildings, and the cooperative La Sembra, specialists in participatory processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project arises from previous experiences with pilot tests and the implementation of climate shelters in Barcelona schools, and aims to provide the foundations of a thermal comfort plan aligned with the objectives of the Climate Emergency Action Plan promoted by the Barcelona City Council, particularly concerning resource consumption efficiency and the interest in ensuring thermal comfort in the indoor spaces of buildings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
